Welcome to the new blog for Suzanne Sawyer Photography!

The inspiration behind this comes from my daughter, Sophia. Ever since she was born I tried to capture every special moment with a picture. Eventually it turned into more than "just a picture". Family and friends would even make fun of me for all of the pictures that I took. Each and every day she amazes me with something new she says or does. She is why I am here today with the start of this journey.

To me, it's always been the little moments that mean the most. From a mother that is expecting a new bundle of joy, to the sweet child that gets brought home from the hospital. From a baby that is learning to walk, to the older children that enter into school. From the couples sharing their engagement stories, to families of all sizes. I strive to capture those moments for you.

The sessions will be very relaxed and fun. My style is very laid back. For the children sessions, I will follow your child around and shoot their exploration and interaction with their surroundings. The candid pictures are my favorite.

Baby girl

This was another shoot that I did a few months ago. There is nothing cute than a sleepy newborn! This baby girl had such an awesome shoot. She slept the entire time and was such a trooper!

Just a little late

Yes, I am still alive :) Things have been a bit crazy the past few months. Including welcoming my 2nd baby girl into this world. Ella was born on June 9th, 2009. About a month after she was born we moved from Indianapolis to Houston, Texas! So, quite the change for sure. Here are some of Ella's newborn pictures that I took awhile ago.

Ellie & the IMA

A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to meet Melanie and her daughter Ellie, along with husband Logan. We spent some time at the IMA and then back to my house for some 1st birthday cake pictures. We had a lot of fun and Ellie is such a cutie!

Barrett

Paige

Saturday morning I got to go back and see 3 month old Paige. I took a few pictures of her when she was born and finally was able to finish up her long overdue photo shoot! I must say, she was seriously one of the cutest and most precious babies I have ever seen! I can't say that enough... she is beautiful!! And she hardly fussed the entire time I was there. Talk about a good baby!
